Senntisten Dig Site - RuneScape Guide (2024)

Senntisten is a large dig site spanning several areas with only a few pertinent locations to Excavate. It can be excavated starting at level 60 and its last Hotspots can be accessed at level 67. There are no Cache types, 3 Research locations, and 3 Mysteries.

Unlike other Dig Sites, the Senntisten site does not technically have an "Outside" as it covers various locations within the city of Senntisten. When teleporting in via Archaeology methods (Master Archaeologist's Outfit and Archaeology teleport) you will find yourself near Intern Jimmy, a workbench, and the bank chest near the Bridge and Cathedral Hotspots.

The sections below will give you details concerning each section of the dig site.

Cathedral

Hotspots

The Cathedral section of Senntisten, you can find the following Hotspots:

Research

There is only 1 Research location within the Catheddral. Keep in mind that you only need to have access to a Research Team to study the area. For the team to complete their research, however, you will need the appropriate level.

1. The Hidden Chamber
   • Requirement: 60 Archaeology
   • Study: Bookcase along the North West wall of the Cathedral
   • Rewards: 3,333 Archaeology experience and Funerary urn of shadow (damaged)

Mysteries

There are 2 Mysteries which can be completed within the Cathedral section. For more information on how to complete these Mysteries, please see the Archaeology Mysteries Guide.

1. Night Theatre
   • Requirements: 67 Archaeology
   • Basic Details: Obtain 5 articles from various Hotspots around the city
   • Reward: 7,800 Archaeology experience
2. Secrets of the Inquisition
   • Requirements: 67 Archaeology
   • Basic Details: Access a secret chamber within the Cathedral
   • Reward: 7,800 Archaeology experience

Other

While Excavating ANY of the Hotspots around the city, you will slowly obtain Ancient glass shards in bunches from 1 to 4. These are used to restore the Stained glass windows within the Cathedral - 2 on the North West corner and 2 on the South East corner around the statues. Each window requires 100 shards to restore it and will award you with 1,000 Crafting experience. You will stop collecting shards once you have obtained the 400 which are necessary to restore everything. If shards are dropped, you will need to excavate the Hotspots to obtain more. Repairing the windows will complete the achievement "Pane in the Glass".

In the Marketplace section of Senntisten, you can find the following Hotspots:

Research

There is only 1 Research location within the Marketplace. Keep in mind that you only need to have access to a Research Team to study the area. For the team to complete their research, however, you will need the appropriate level.

1. Prime Real Estate
   • Requirement: 63 Archaeology
   • Study: Market stall
   • Rewards: 4,333 Archaeology experience and Funerary urn of ice (damaged)

Mysteries

There is only 1 Mystery in this section of Senntisten. It is called "Empty Children" and requires 66 Archaeology. It can be completed by obtaining all 6 pages. Colosseum

To enter this area, you will need to Right click the Colosseum gateway and choose the "Enter (Non combat)" option.

Research

There is only 1 Research location within the Marketplace. Keep in mind that you only need to have access to a Research Team to study the area. For the team to complete their research, however, you will need the appropriate level.

1. Are You Not Entertained?
   • Requirement: 66 Archaeology
   • Study: Gladiator bones
   • Rewards: 5,333 Archaeology experience and Funerary urn of blood (damaged)

Mysteries

There are no Mysteries in the Colosseum section of Senntisten.

Bridge

In order to access this area, you need at least partial completion of the Secrets of the Inquisition Mystery (step 8).
