The Mid Cornwall Dart League
Rules 2024
1.Ladies matches to be played on Tuesdays. Draw to be carried out at 8pm for an 8.15pm start.
2.Men’s matches to be played on Fridays. Draw to be carried out at 8pm for an 8.15pm start.
3.All Ladies teams shall consist of four players and reserves. No men can play in the Ladies league.
4.All men’s teams shall con sist of six players and reserves. Two Ladies maximum may play in men’s team.
5.Registration fees are £25 per team per season. This must be included with your registration form or entry to the league will be declined.
6.Match fees are £1 per player per week. These are to be paid before the second game of the seasonIN FULL. The date and amount for this will be clearly indicated to the captain prior to commencement of the season. If the committee haven’t received your team’s fees by 6pm on this date, then your team will be ejected from the league.No exceptions.Remember, it is the captain’s responsibility to do this, not the pub/club. If the pub/club pays your team’s subscription then ensure that they are received by the due date.
7.Format for men’s division 1+2 will be 2 triples of 1 leg(801), three doubles best of 3(501), and six singles best of 5(501).Division 2 singles will be 3 legs 501 play all 3....3rd leg will be mugs away. Ladies division 1 format will be 1 leg of 1001, two doubles best of 3(501) and four singles best of 3(501).
8.Match scoring will be a point per leg. All divisions.
9.There will be NO CANCELLATIONS. However, games may be played in advance but only if BOTH captains agree a date for the game to be played. If a game is to be played in advance then the divisional secretary MUST be informed. If a game is cancelled, the non-offending team will be awarded an average of either their 1stor 2ndhalf points depending on which half of the season the game is cancelled.
10.Result sheets to be returned to midcornwalldartleague@gmail.com E Mail or by using messenger chat group to arrive not later than two days prior to commencement of the next match (Ladies Saturday, Men Wednesday). If after one warning, result sheets are still being received late, then no points will be awarded.
11.Players will throw for the bull to commence play. Home team first. Losers of the first leg throw first in the next leg. Bull up again if a deciding leg is required, visitors throwing first at the bull
12.Players may sign on for a team on the night providing they haven’t played for another team.
Only players who have registered on the entry form can play for the first 2 weeks. New players can sign on the first week but can only play on the 3rd week. Non registered players will lose all the points gained if playing.
Players may transfer teams once only at a cost of £5, and during the first half of the season only. No new players may sign on in the last six weeks of the season.
13.Any team may play reserves in the 1001 game for ladies and any reserve can play one triples match in the men’s.
14.All new teams will be put where the committee deem appropriate.
15.Dartboards are to be hung at 5`8” to the centre of the bull and a raised oche at 7`9 ¼“from the dartbo should be fixed/secured to the floor. Chalkboards or dry wipe boards only to be used for scoring matches. No electronic score-boards will be allowed.
16.Any team that withdraws or is ejected from the league forfeits the right to a league pay out or any money that has been put into the league. Captains are to collect league pay-out at the presentation night. If the captain is unable to attend the presentation night, then a member of the team may collect their teams money only if they have a signed collection slip provided to the captain prior to the end of the season. No Exceptions. No member of the committee may collect money for another team other than their own. League pay-out money may not be collected or issued after the presentation night, unless agreed by the committee.
17.Players may only take part in competitions providing they have played at least one game in the league during the 1sthalf of the season. The competition secretary will choose format of competition on the night to suit the venue/ turnout etc. Roll call for competitions at 8pm for 8.15pm start.
18.Captains and vice captains are now able to both play in the captains competition as long as their name has been stated on the registration form at the beginning of the season and they must have played at least one game in the first half of the season.
19.Any dispute, whether covered in the above rules or not, will be settled by the committee whose decision will be deemed final.
20.All players participating in the league by definition have agreed to abide by the rules stated above.
