Skillet Lasagna

If you have been following me, you know that I love a good one pot meal and here is another goody!!! I know you are probably thinking, “how can lasagna get cooked in the skillet and in one pot?” Wellllll, im going to show you. This recipe has all of the same flavors of a traditional lasagna but an easier and faster way to cook it. I made this and my family loved it! They prefer this version instead of the traditional way since it was faster. Add 1 tsp of olive oil to a skillet. Once the oil is hot, cook 1 lb of ground beef and 1 lb of ground Italian sausage. I like the hot Italian sausage since it adds some spice to the dish.

Add 2 jars of your favorite pasta sauce. You can make your own sauce but its easier to use a store bought one.

Remove half of the sauce from the skillet and reserve it in a bowl.

In a separate bowl, add 1 cup of ricotta cheese, 1 egg and 1/3 cup of shredded parmesan cheese. Mix well.

Grab one box of oven ready lasagna noodles and break them into 3 inch squares. Each lasagna sheet should make 3-4 squares. Layer the squares on top of the sauce that is in the skillet.

Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the noodles are soft. Be sure to cook on low-medium heat so that the bottom layer does not burn.
